Our Journey

Tasty Teas for Good Health

It’s that time of year again, when the days are getting colder, and who doesn’t like to snuggle in front of the TV with a hot mug of steaming tea? Why not combine a tasty tea with one that has a lot of health benefits as well?

White Tea

White tea is the least processed varietal of the tea plant. Produced from the tender, white downy buds, white tea is hand-plucked only a few days each year, right before the leaf opens. Fragile buds must be carefully monitored as they are dried.

Caffeine content: Approximately one-third the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee.

Health Benefits: High in antioxidants, which protect your cells from damage by compounds called free radicals. Free radicals are linked to aging, chronic inflammation, a weakened immune system, and a variety of harmful diseases.

Sleepy Tea

Relax your body and calm your mind at nighttime. Sip at least an hour before you go to sleep to calm down and prepare for a restful sleep without tossing and turning.

Chamomile is one of the most common herbs used in sleeping teas, because it helps fight insomnia. It has many more benefits, like being an immunity booster, treats symptoms of cold, reduces muscle spasms and period pains, soothes stomach ache, reduces stress, acne, and much more.

Valerian – it’s used in the Republic of Tea’s, “Get Some ZZZs” tea. The tea is made from roots and underground stems of the plant Valerian. Benefits of drinking Valerian include improved sleep, decreased stress, menstrual symptom relief, and even a reduction of menopausal symptoms.
