Cellphone & Wifi: we had really good AT&T coverage inside our trailer and around the campground as well. I suggest to be on a higher ground, where the reception was much better than at the lower level sites.
Hidden Cove RV Resort was probably one of our most favorite places to stay – and we have stayed in many RV parks and resorts over the years we’ve been traveling full time.
If you are looking for a great RV location with southern charm and hospitality, Hidden Cove RV Resort is 100% it!!
They are expanding their RV Resort to many new sites and amenities, like a brand new laundry, and restroom and shower facilities that are truly state-of-the-art.
Their club house is very spacious with a play area for the little ones, along with pool and foosball tables. It has a piano for Sunday services and a roomy deck with beautiful views of the lake.
The people working here are incredibly nice and friendly, with helpful recommendations for the area.
Arley is a quaint and lovely little town with good food and a general store with inexpensive but delicious hot pizza and smoked chicken to die for. When in town, I would recommend to stop by and try a delicious tortilla soup at La Plaza Bonita Mexican Restaurant. Or try a great and juicy burger over at Arley Coffee Shop (which is a nice, local eatery, not a coffee shop).
If you are looking for more variety of shopping, Jasper is only about 10 miles away with many large restaurant and shopping chains, like Walmart.
For a longer distance, I highly recommend taking a day road trip to Birmingham, AL. For my comprehensive list of where to go and what to see, click here. Overall, Alabama really did surprise us with its southern charm and hospitality. The two weeks we spent there went a bit too fast and I cannot wait to go back and spend more time there.
